As a Principal Design Engineer for Combustion/Fuels Equipment, candidates should have experience with similar equipment such as Steam Generation, Low NOx, Burners, Emission Equipment, Combustion Systems, Boilers, etc.
Duties:
- Handle full product development project responsibilities including developing new products, implementing cost reduction efforts and improving equipment design.
- Provide proposal and sales support with presentations, technical guidance and manhour estimates.
- Provide consultation to other engineer groups as necessary.
- Develop engineering standards for equipment sizing and emissions performance predictions.
- Execute contracts, proposals, and new development work in equipment design and Project Engineering
- Meet performance expectations for executing NOx projects
- Become the subject expert in various firing systems
- Author field test procedures and reports
- Lead service teams during emissions performance test programs
- Produce and present technical content at conferences
Preferred:
- BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a Masters preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a related industry with a background in project engineering, and product design
- PE license or the willingness to obtain a PE license
- Knowledge of ASME codes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent computer and communication skills
